Omega Dishwasher Repair - Circulation Pump Fault

20th May 2025

We were recently called out to inspect an Omega dishwasher that wasn’t completing its wash cycle. The customer reported that the unit would start as normal but then stall partway through, leaving dishes unwashed and water in the bottom of the machine.

After a thorough inspection, we identified that the issue lay within the circulation pump. While the motor was producing the correct sound, suggesting it was running, the pump wasn’t actually circulating water through the system. Testing confirmed the motor itself was functioning correctly, but further investigation revealed the impeller inside the pump had become dislodged.

The impeller was jamming the rotor, preventing the pump from doing its job. By dismantling the pump housing, we were able to locate the fault and confirm that the impeller section was replaceable. A new part was sourced and fitted, restoring the dishwasher to full working order.
