Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer A6 Error

18th November 2025

We’re currently working on a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer dishwasher with a persistent A6 error – a fault that usually points to issues with water circulation or rotor performance. This job is a good example of how appliance repairs can sometimes go beyond the usual quick fixes.

The A6 fault is commonly resolved by adjusting or replacing the wash arm or rotor. These components were inspected and swapped between the working and non-working drawers, but the issue remained. Our next step was to replace the wash controller in the non-functional drawer – another frequent cause of this error. However, after installing a new controller, the A6 error still displayed.

Another possible cause of the A6 fault is inconsistent or low water pressure. Based on that, the next step in this repair is to replace the water inlet valve, which manages how water enters the drawer during the cycle.

Fisher & Paykel parts are generally cost-effective, which makes it worthwhile to continue with the troubleshooting process. With the inlet valve replacement planned, we’re aiming for a reliable fix and to get this DishDrawer back to full working order soon.

Project Status: In Progress

This case highlights the value of thorough testing and experience in diagnosing appliance faults, especially with modern dishwashers. We’ll post an update once the final repair is confirmed.
